After 16 years eircom decided it was time to rebrand. The rebrand from eircom to eir establishes an identity that better reflects the company as it is today and better reflects their product offering, specifically that they are the only telecoms provider to offer quadplay – broadband, home phone, mobile and TV. The rebrand coincided with the roll out of Ireland’s fastest broadband, with speeds of up to 1000Mb.


The ‘We are’ campaign launched on September 16th 2015 and marked the re-brand of eircom to a revitalised and modernised eir. Eir is a business that is committed to change and to meeting the evolving needs of its customers. The strapline of the advertising campaign is ‘Live life on eir’. Eir is a play on the word ‘air’ - which is essential to life.

The Christmas TV campaign is an extension of the ‘We are’ campaign which launched in September and extends this narrative throughout the home at Christmas. More than at any other time of the year, the home is the centre of activity at Christmas time and with eir’s unique quadplay offering of Fibre Broadband, 4G Mobile, Digital TV and home phone, you can be sure that you are connected and ready for the festive season. 

Shot on location in various locations around Co. Wicklow, the campaign brings to life the fun and family oriented parts of getting ready for Christmas. The track is festive version of the iconic ‘Fionnghuala’ which was the used for the brand re-launch campaign in September and has had such an impact nationally.
