DDFH&B recorded its best ever result at the 2014 Kinsale Sharks International Advertising Festival this weekend, dominating the much sought-after Irish film category and securing eight awards in total across four clients.

The Google '10 Years in Ireland' landed two of only four Golds out of hundreds of entries awarded by the judges across all the Irish categories for Film Online Commercial and Film Craft Art Direction/Production Design. In fact, it was the only Irish film to win Gold, making it in the judge's view the best piece produced on the island in the past year. 

The recent popular 'Guru' TV campaign for The National Lottery alone won three awards - one for the Film Campaign plus one Single Commercial award each for the launch execution and for the 'World Cup' script.  Rounding out the exciting haul was a Silver for Lucozade 'Summer', a Bronze for the Molson Canadian Outdoor poster 'Galway', and a Bronze in Media Excellence for our media agency Mindshare with their Bord Gáis Energy work.

It’s always a great weekend at the Kinsale Sharks. Both informative and informal. It was a huge honour for us to do so well at the awards, a just reward for a lot of hard work from both the agency and our clients – very proud of us all.

The festival is unique in being the only forum where Irish advertising is judged by a primarily international - and therefore very prestigious - jury. Thus a "Shark", as the awards are colloquially known, is a prize catch!
