Cindy Gallop talks to Jess Majekodunmi about redesigning business, giving young advertising execs a voice and what it means to be a rampant feminist in 2014.

Cindy Gallop calls herself “the Michael Bay of business” because she likes to blow shit up. After being told that she could “sell ice to an Eskimo”, Gallop left a career in the world of theatre and jumped head first into advertising. When she joined Bartle Bogle Hegarty, she rose through the ranks and eventually left the UK to set up the agency’s office in New York. In 2005, Gallop resigned as chairperson of BBH and left from agency life to do something different. She now works as an advertising consultant for “clients who want to change the game in their sector” and has set up some daring projects of her own including ‘MakeLoveNotPorn’ and ‘IfWeRanTheWorld’.
